Somehow I find the fact this is coming from an Intelligence officer, that has testified before Congress under oath, and is now calling for whistleblower protection, more convincing than a random hack that is trying to sell a book.
But obviously, the fact that he might be acting in good faith does not mean that he is right, there are plenty of possible reasons why he could be wrong or have been lied to, since he doesn't seem to have first hand knowledge but only hearsay or indirect knowledge from other people or documents.
Hopefully, they're will be some sort of investigations based on what he is claiming. From what I understand he would have been allowed to provide specific names or document to Congress, so that should be pretty straightforward to check if everything is made up or not.
Otherwise, we will see soon enough when his book is coming out.
