I have an defunct car in my garage which has minimal scrap value or personal value. Is there anything interesting that I could do with it? Hoping some hackers out there have some ideas I could try!
I love stuff like this and brainstorm ideas for the ones in my garage. Of course you could do a cheap ev conversion or do a 24 Hours of Lemons race. What if you simply took it apart to individual bolts? Make a bicycle pedal car? Propane or wood gasifier conversion? Turn it into a treehouse? Replace the glass with screens and use it for driving games? Tiny office/camper? Grill/smoker?
see if your fire dept needs/wants a donation.. they always gotta practice using their tools (jaws of life, saws) or practice putting out car fires.
outdoor gunrange?" might be a fun target for a while (then disposal is their problem)
how old is it? local hackers might want to mess with the canbus stuff.
Strip it down, mount weapons and booby traps to it. We're probably not going to go all "Mad Max" anytime soon, but it never hurts to be prepared.
Depending on just how defunct it is, static art may be a use for it. See if you can get a tree to grow out of the engine compartment.
Can you make a mad max style off-road vehicle out of it?
Does it run?
You could tinker with an electronic conversion or make a generator out of it.
Tear out the inside and make a bed out of it.
Do the same but add a trailer tow bar and make a camper.
