6 months of running my home-rolled web forum, basement community, and now with Reddit going apeshit, I'd like to take a minute to share recent enhancements to the site.<p>Highlights include:<p>* user count has gotten to over 350!! this is huge!!!!<p>* added more user settings (bionic reading mode, avatars
disabled, auto-bookmarking threads, toggle posting hints)<p>* shows latest posts on homepage for easier parsing for new content<p>* posts are saved locally so they are not lost upon page refresh or browser closing<p>* DARK MODE!!!<p>* quality-of-life improvements, such as auto-focusing on form-fields and auto-scrolling to form errors<p>* privacy and FAQ page<p>* joined some more webrings because fuck yeah webrings<p>* adds a bunch of moderation tools for mods and admins<p>* revamps some of the homepage and thread landing page UIs<p>this project makes me happy and i encourage everyone to just start on a project they've been thinking about!!!<p>also the API is <i>free to use</i> unlike some other sites
