Don't google what happens when you cook or eat bacon... The open flame makes gobs of CO2 and H2O, and there's a risk of CO if the airflow sux. Try not to do it in an enclosed space. Impurities in the gas, like impurities in the food, can turn into all sorts of things when heated.
