SICP is a good textbook for intermediatte (or advanced) students to learn about computer programming IMO.<p>Wondering if there is a equivalent for design and implementation of distributed systems.

Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann is fantastic. Great balance of breadth and depth, theoretical and practical.
