From the department of "changes no one asked for", in the latest version of Chrome, Google appears to have silently reverted the controversial decision to dump the lock icon from the address bar in favor of a "tune" icon.
This appears to have been done quietly as I cannot find it mentioned anywhere, despite the initial change being publicized with great fanfare.
Possibly in response to Microsoft keeping the lock in Edge, wanting no part of this avant-garde nonsense to avoid pissing off its enterprise customers.
Possibly due to Firefox taking the ultimate politically correct path - and adding to further confusion - displaying both a lock and (sometimes) a "tune" icon in the address bar, each with its own menus and actions.
Help desk technicians the world over will rejoice.
