Aloha,
I have been connected to Maui for the last 7 years and living here for the last 3.5 years. I moved to a retreat center when I got here and built their website/brand (www.mauiretreat.com) and stayed for about a year. After that, I moved to Wailea and worked as a private guide around the island before getting promoted to concierge.
I've helped build www.hawaiitours.com most recently and have been working with local businesses after. Now, everyone is strapped for cash and can't pay me money I am owed. It's all good, I understand and am not asking for it while we process what just happened. Before moving to Maui, I have worked at Bluehost as Wordpress tech support for top-tier clients and in sales for various electronics companies.
Currently, the entire island is like COVID times and it is expected to get worse before it gets better. I am piecing together a 'middle way' solution with the help of locals that respects the Kingdom of Hawaii while also keeping other parts of the island open to preserve many local businesses that are impacted by the fires (directly or indirectly).
Money keeps going out still faster than it is coming in. I have had to use savings to get through but that won't last forever. This is a hail mary but I felt it was worth a shot. I am open to doing any kind of work (design, marketing, front-end web dev, support, being a virtual assistant, creating content). I am very flexible on compensation, I just want to stay afloat and not be behind on my bills.
If you would like to connect, please comment and we can go from there.
Mahalo
