IBM taps AI to translate COBOL code to Java

Maybe this could be automated. There were dozens of threads recently about the death of Prigozhin that ideally would have been one.

there is 8 jobs for COBOL developers in my area compared to 255 for java. The 8 are mainly financial. I feel like the banks were not willing to spend money to do the translation over the years and looking for an easy way out with AI.
