Ask HN: Will Google stop supporting Linux Desktop?

1 点作者 backendanon将近 2 年前
Google "fuchsia chrome" and some of the results seem to suggest Fuchsia will replace Linux in some or many Google scenarios. It sounds like Google is moving away from Linux on the desktop entirely, possibly even in the datacenter too?
My question is then, will Firefox continue to work on Linux. If not, what suggestions are there for a decent Linux browser that works with streaming sites like Netflix, Prime Video and Max? Thank you.

If you research fuchsia a bit more, it turns out it was stillborn. Google has just laid off a sizable portion of the development team, and so far it has been deployed as a test run on a single generation of Nest Hub. And... they have just decided to discontinue the Nest family not so long ago.

> My question is then, will Firefox continue to work on Linux.

How is it connected to the first part of the question? Firefox is not developed by Google. Why would it stop supporting Linux suddenly in the near future?
