After Jimmy Buffett died I wondered how many Baby Boomer icons* were left. Thanks to WikiData we can try to find out, but that query is hella slow (there are a lot). What's fast, however, is finding everyone who has died recently.<p>*Anyone with an English Wikipedia page. Sorry Dennis Austin.

Why a 'Boomer' death watch particularly?<p>There is a watershed moment that all animals go through. When both of your parents have died, there is the sense that 'You're next on the chopping block. Your time is short.'<p>And of course, you don't have to be a 'Boomer' to die. You might die like many icons do at the age of 27.
