Reform card helps formerly incarcerated people gain access to a secured credit card which helps them build their credit.There are millions of formerly incarcerated people who are gainfully employed and trying to reintegrate themselves back into society. They have the money, but the access to fair credit is what they are missing. These same people are denied by banks for credit cards, or they are offered the highest interest rates possible(36% APR!).<p>I am someone who knows this obstacle all too well. My mother was formerly incarcerated and is still struggling to secure housing after serving her prison sentence over a decade ago.
