My (Novel?) Theory of the Universe

Building on the simulation theory – I was pondering the question of &#x27;why&#x27; a higher order being (HoB) would simulate a universe like ours (or multiple).<p>My theory is that this being is in the same predicament as us: they would like to understand the nature of their own universe and where they came from. From their more advanced technological position, they are attempting to solve this challenge by &#x27;brute-force creativity&#x27; through computing &#x2F; simulating a universe (or numerous) that are likely modelled on similar foundations to their own, with the aim of accelerating the uncovering knowledge (going beyond the local maximum they achieved and seeking to uncover new approaches).<p>It might be inevitable that we also arrive at a similar solution.<p>If one of the simulated universes (for instance, ours) manages to &#x27;break out of&#x27; or make contact beyond our universe, it would hopefully equip our makers with the knowledge to &#x27;break out of&#x27; or make contact outside their own – potentially creating a cascading effect up through many levels of simulations.<p>This theory potentially helps explain a few things, such as why our universe is expanding (perhaps it&#x27;s growing at the rate of our HoB&#x27;s computing capabilities). Perhaps quantum behaviour is a kind of compression algorithm for optimising compute etc.<p>I haven&#x27;t come across a theory like this – but if anyone has, or has thought about this, please share. Otherwise I&#x27;d love to hear thoughts on this &#x2F; build on the theory.
