I wondered what had been happening in our riverfront towns along the Mississippi. Every other house for sale at fire-sale prices. Combination of high interest rates and local employer closures. And nobody buying riverside vacation properties any more?<p>Anyway some really impressive stuff for around $100K, which is ridiculous. Inland its half a million.<p>Lots of old worn-out places too of course. Those towns have been there for a century or more.<p><a href="https://www.zillow.com/clinton-ia/?searchQueryState=%7B%22pagination%22%3A%7B%7D%2C%22mapBounds%22%3A%7B%22west%22%3A-90.26663303375244%2C%22east%22%3A-90.1558256149292%2C%22south%22%3A41.81329069491423%2C%22north%22%3A41.87301215547166%7D%2C%22regionSelection%22%3A%5B%7B%22regionId%22%3A51455%2C%22regionType%22%3A6%7D%5D%2C%22isMapVisible%22%3Atrue%2C%22filterState%22%3A%7B%22sort%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3A%22days%22%7D%2C%22ah%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Atrue%7D%7D%2C%22isListVisible%22%3Atrue%2C%22mapZoom%22%3A14%7D" rel="nofollow noreferrer">https://www.zillow.com/clinton-ia/?searchQueryState=%7B%22pa...</a>
