Israel had a working DNA computer back in 2004 (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNA_computing" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNA_computing</a>). Ray Kurzweil talked about it in The Singularity is near.
