There is a posting on the front page that Wikipedia is the only good site on the internet. It makes me laugh. Wikipedia sausage is as ugly, or uglier, than any other site on the internet.<p>What makes Wikipedia feel good is its tone, which mostly manages to stay consistent throughout. The tone of Wikipedia has very little to do with the veracity of its information, though they're certainly some correlation between people willing to write in that tone and people willing to do research. It's plenty easy to research and write an opinion piece, however. In fact, I would call the Wikipedia tone closest to the opinion sections of classical newspapers.
