Sometimes it seems plausible given the lame design decisions that occur.<p>It would be easy to detect such anomalies by looking at employees with previous experience with Microsoft and then look at their track record.
It's an emergent behavior - internal Google politics and rewards are structured to strongly encourage even otherwise competent people to enshitify.
