This is cool and I enjoyed playing with it and the navigation settings.<p>But I am ignorant about what this would be used for.<p>Would love to learn more about the motivation and use cases.

Has me wanting to use them as a screensaver. Ease enough to download, though original the sources would be nice. I would want to play with each of these visualization modes with non-noise inputs, FFTs, intricate spectrogram outputs.

Not sure if OP is the author, but consider using `window.history.replaceState` for navigation so that when people are done playing with the different options, they don&#x27;t have to press the back button 50 times to get back to HN.<p>Also, on mobile the page is cut off for me at the bottom

Barely works on an older (2019-ish) MacBook Pro in Safari, about 1 frame per second
