This is why I never fully trusted Google with smaller Desktop software. With the exception of their main desktop software, Chrome, they have the tendency to break things or not maintain it or test it fully.<p>Some examples:<p>- Current Google One VPN seems broken on macOS Sonoma (apparently works with some accessibility tweaks) and also Windows 11 users report similar things. Why not fix or update it? I guess nobody is responsible at Google's side for it.<p>- When they switched their Google Drive software they used their own version of FUSE (maybe still do?) and it broke the macFUSE.<p>My solution for the Google Drive part: I use for years now <a href="https://www.insynchq.com/" rel="nofollow noreferrer">https://www.insynchq.com/</a> for synchronising my Google Drive (btw it also supports Linux) because I trust those third party sync software more than Google's own (and that says something).
