Your resilience and adaptability are inspiring. It's incredible how you've navigated so many industry changes and always found ways to reinvent yourself. I've no doubt you'll continue to thrive in this evolving landscape. Stay strong and keep chasing your passion.
Not everyone can so easily learn new skills and embrace change. You've explored diverse abilities - from music to technology - that many would find daunting. While some find comfort sticking to the familiar, there's something special about seeking new challenges and expanding horizons. Your journey shows the human spirit's incredible capacity for growth and reinvention.
Each new turn will give you another layer of your unique skill set and experience stack, eventually leading you to find Your Thing that you can give to the world -- the unique thing that is a combination of all this stuff that no one else can do.

I almost went down your path, but did not have the guts that you had (and probably not the talent either tbh!), so bailed out and chose engineering instead, now music just a "hobby" and I get sad if I think about it too much. So try to take solace in that I guess?
Anyway, we've all been thinking about how disruptive AI will be for our respective disciplines (like ALL disciplines). Coders are using AI to be more productive (e.g. co-pilot), so it seems that musicians and artists need to find a way to build on top of AI too (kinda obvs)...but in your case, given your combination of grit (i.e. willingness to pivot) and presence on hackernews, maybe you can help musicians interface with AI as a service? Like getting chatGPT to write or improve song lyrics. I dunno, just trying to shine some light for you.
