It's kind of amazing how narrow the temperature range @ which humans feel comfy:
Over here in summer, temps of ~30°C were too much of the good for many people. Add moist air, and a few degrees more (wet bulb) gets human bodies to a (potentially deadly) point where they can't shed heat no matter their clothing or how much they sweat.
Now in late fall / early winter, occasionally thermometer dropped a bit below freezing (-4°C), and outside I'm packed in 4-5 layers of clothing, double socks, thick gloves & only feel warm when I keep moving and/or sipping hot drinks. Not to mention windchill.
Contrast that with extremes such as in the article, or Death Valley, Antarctic's interior, up in space, on the Moon or Mars, etc.
The "Goldilocks zone" really is a narrow band. And we're so lucky to be in it.

Dry ice freezes out of the air at −78.5 °C; at ambient pressure. One wonders if like mars certain supercooled mountain bowls & valleys could accumulate a dry ice sheet.
Imagine camping at a site where your body heat dissolves the ground.. Mars problems..
