It's kind of amazing how narrow the temperature range @ which humans feel comfy:<p>Over here in summer, temps of ~30°C were too much of the good for many people. Add moist air, and a few degrees more (wet bulb) gets human bodies to a (potentially deadly) point where they can't shed heat no matter their clothing or how much they sweat.<p>Now in late fall / early winter, occasionally thermometer dropped a bit below freezing (-4°C), and outside I'm packed in 4-5 layers of clothing, double socks, thick gloves & only feel warm when I keep moving and/or sipping hot drinks. Not to mention windchill.<p>Contrast that with extremes such as in the article, or Death Valley, Antarctic's interior, up in space, on the Moon or Mars, etc.<p>The "Goldilocks zone" really is a narrow band. And we're <i>so</i> lucky to be in it.
