Hi HN,
I'm on the lookout for "no-fluff" software engineering podcasts. I find myself disenchanted with many of the more popular options today. A common issue I've encountered is that the guests are often either "influencers" or relatively new in their careers. While there's value in diverse perspectives - and I enjoyed those podcasts in the first few years of my career - I'm particularly interested in podcasts that have more seasoned professionals and delve deep into the nuances of software engineering without unnecessary "waffle".
Specifically, I'm looking for podcasts where:
* Guests have substantial experience in the field of software engineering.
* Topics are discussed in-depth, with a focus on technical insights rather than personal branding or surface-level content.
* The tone is professional-ish. I don't mind some jokes but I'm not looking for an entertainment podcast. I have enough good options in that category.
If you have any recommendations that align with these criteria, I would greatly appreciate your input. Additionally, if there are certain episodes of a generally broader podcast that you found exceptionally insightful, feel free to mention those as well. I'm deliberately choosing to not specify specific languages, etc. as this post should be helpful to the wider HN population.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
