A victory for what has traditionally been the strongest unions in the country does not mean blue collar workers overall "won."
11% of the workers in the US are in a union and the rate has been at 10%-ish for years. In the 1960's that was 30%. In Regan's time that was 20% (I mention Regan because of the controller strikes - and guess where we stand with air traffic controllers right now...they're being worked to the bone.)
We still have healthcare tied to employment which serves only to keep people terrified of losing their job because it could mean losing their healthcare and an interruption in treatment / medications for which interruptions are dangerous.
We still require an insanely complex and lengthy process for a bunch of workers to be "recognized" by the government and afforded protection during organized actions, a process that employers can drag out endlessly to bleed the worker's union dry of funds on lawyers, as well as tie up NPOs who could be working to help form new unions or assist others in legal actions against employers.
This year the Supreme Court weakened the federal "right to strike" law, making workers/unions liable for employer losses: https://www.scotusblog.com/2023/06/supreme-court-rules-again...
Biden sold out hard on railway workers trying to strike against all the effects of private-equity-driven Precision Scheduled Railroading which treats human beings like meat robots, led to dramatically increased derailments, and the very long trains have paralyzed entire communities by tying up railroad crossings or bisecting entire towns for hours if not a day or more.
Child labor is running rampant, particularly among the major food processing companies, with little kids getting shredded by equipment and burned by chemicals: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/28/us/migrant-child-labor-au...
Employers in California struck down new rules intended to end using people as "independent contractors"
The list goes on. Billionares are working as hard as they can to turn us all into servants to provide them services. Bezos was at the White House spouting to Obama about this very thing, and he made the mistake of doing it in front of Jon Stewart: https://youtu.be/Vewz1v4rQYg?t=117
