Matt Mullenweg (the person originally behind WordPress) has always been pushing for the open web. I hope this birthday request from him inspires more people to post to their own sites. It would be great if 2024 can bring more momentum to the indie web. My RSS feeds are more vibrant than they've been in a decade, but I'm excited to find even more great stuff to follow!
