I wonder what kind of post mortem an organization the size of Google does to get even a 1% insight into why things are slow and broken instead of firing people and repeating velocity, agility and nimbleness on a rosary.<p>Velocity requires years of investment in building better tools and processes, a culture with less meetings and more work, an itch to make things happen but also enough lulls to recover and most importantly learning from past mistakes and reducing repeats.
