"What is a good way to die?" is a <i>very</i> good question to ask, while you're still healthy enough to have some input into the situation personally.<p>Recall there was a fad for "DNR orders" (Do Not Resuscitate) a while back? Some folks even got "DNR" tattoos.<p>Anybody ever see one honored? Or did they get the whole family in the ICU around the person, and make them all talk to the person about how "we're not ready to lose you" and get that order rescinded, possibly against the wishes of the patient?<p><i>fear</i> the good intentions of loved ones at life end; they'll tell themselves that extending suffering (for <i>everyone</i>) is better than making a clean end.
