Could you clarify what you mean by "driving" people? Are you talking about leadership? Motivation? Persuasion? Using the word "driving" makes it sound like you want to pressure them into doing things faster or differently. Since you're not their manager, they may resent this, or just ignore you entirely. If this isn't your intent, you may want to think of some better words to express to yourself and others what you're trying to accomplish.
