Some Thoughts on Jekyll

I also just wrote about leaving GitHub Pages for different reasons &lt;<a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;pettazz.com&#x2F;goodbye-gh-pages&#x2F;" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;pettazz.com&#x2F;goodbye-gh-pages&#x2F;</a>&gt;. Sticking with Jekyll for now though because I&#x27;m too lazy to rebuild my horribly cobbled together 10 year old theme

Maybe I&#x27;m missing something, but why does the site generation part have to be done at Github&#x27;s end? Can&#x27;t they just generate locally and push the built pages?
