They assume that women are hyper-rational agents, who get married based on the financial return a husband will provide.<p>Is there any way we can find good statistics on married economists?<p>Do Economists act rationally?<p>Anecdotally the answer is they most definitely do not maximise their gains economically (they don&#x27;t generally make good decisions in my experience).

Mhm, and I&#x27;m sure it has nothing to do with the laws that punish men into oblivion, and deprive them of their own children if they dare to divorce huh?<p>Unless of course you have a spotless record, your ex is verifiably insane and you are one of maybe 5-10% that can actually afford to double your household expenses for the next decade, then maybe you&#x27;ll get 50&#x2F;50, which still puts your kids at a disadvantage.
