The current implementations are rather ridiculous, you either get a giant pop-up where you can at least say no or - which is more prevalent in my experience - you get a little a message saying we are using cookies whether you like it or not, you can close this by clicking on the "Accept" button.<p>What if sites would be required to request similarly to camera/microphone access? This way, users would get a consistent experiences across the web and also, developers would have to actually prepare for both responses.
Yes: not many, but some sites have realised they don't need cookies at all (and hence avoid the whole consent thing)<p>Luckily <i>those</i> are the sites I wish to visit.
I don't think so but they waste tons of people's time every day in the world... they should just default to: no, I don't want cookies that aren't required for this site's basic functionalities to work as intended.
