Feature bloat. Notepad is a simple, dumb editor. No formatting, doesn't muck with your text. This is important and useful.<p>What possible reason do they have, to change that?

Spellcheck should be systemwide on every text field in 2024 anyway, Apple solved this 22 years ago.
