I recall they lost a ton of data in a failed migration, but the site is still up, and horribly broken. I repeatedly got 500 errors, client side errors and countless broken images. Why even keep the site up in it's current state?
MySpace has been wierd and useless for something like 20 years now..<p>Bought by News Corp, "In July 2005, in one of the company's first major Internet purchases, News Corporation purchased MySpace for US$580 million" <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myspace" rel="nofollow">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myspace</a><p>A great example of how a traditional media outlet failed to 'get' the new social space.
