NESQUEHONING, Pa. - The company that owns a Carbon County power plant is being sued by a group of nearly 100 residents who live near the plant. They claim the plant is burning rubber tires to mine bitcoin.<p>In the suit filed Tuesday, opponents say the Panther Creek plant – owned by Stronghold Digital Mining, Inc. - near Nesquehoning is burning rubber tires to mine bitcoin and, in the process, polluting the air.
