I can see why they wanted it offline. I listened to the whole thing. It was fine, I laughed a few times. Mostly it was just nostalgia of hearing "Carlin" talk about current topics. It certainly wasn't Carlin quality though, and if you didn't know it was fake, would certainly hurt his brand and the value of his estate. (And yes I know it stated that it was fake a few times within the show, but if you only heard clips it could be a problem)<p>It's too bad they settled, because now we won't get any case law out of it around AI and copyright.<p>I'm disappointed in Ars Technica, though. They of all people should know better than to write a headline like this.
