I think building a YouTube audience is more about directing users to the things that make you money rather than the ad revenue itself. That might be Amazon affiliate links, referrals, your own products or courses, etc.<p>Marc Lou is a good software example. He's basically advertising his boilerplate through his YouTube videos.
