I love this place. I lived in Tokyo a while back, these are all over. I had one down the street from me in my neighborhood in Meguro-ku. Notably, the tables and counters had big metal (I think?) tubs of sauce planted on them and there were all these signs warning you not to put your kushikatsu directly in the sauce. I think I always ended up putting a bit on a small plate and taking it from there.<p>I would go there and get a bunch of fresh grapefruit sours and just eat deep fried, breaded meat, eggs, veggies, etc. for practically nothing until I was stuffed. The vibe was working stiffs meeting up to hang out and complain or long-lost friends enjoying some fried food and draft Kirin or whatever. Very casual, tasty, and fun. 懐かしいな
