I don&#x27;t have an issue with non-compete clauses if they offered fair terms to the employee but frequently they don&#x27;t. Something like, we will pay you some reasonably high percentage, if not all, of your salary for the duration of the time we don&#x27;t you working for a potential competitor. Also, it&#x27;s much most personally costly for a private citizen to defend enforcement of non-compete than it is for a company.
