Ask HN: What is the relation between Next and React?

I mean is React team favouring Next because Vercel keeps hiring from the core React team?<p>Seems NextJs always has the latest updates from React even before React is out of Beta with their own code.<p>Just curious because I had heard this before when app router and RSC was introduced. No idea so just asking.
