Hello again HN,
My YouTuber friend told me that editing subtitles in Premiere, Final Cut, etc. is a huge pain. So I built them a website that lets you split subtitles with a single click (https://getsubtitles.app/).
I want to make the best *subtitle editing* software. Once you're done editing, you export the standard SRT file and bring it into your video editor of choice. Yes, video editors now have speech-to-text built in but I want to hyper-focus on being the best subtitle editor.
There's a lot of features I can add, but I want to start small and listen to users before I start over-engineering everything. My personal list is something like this:
- red underlines for each word's accuracy that is below a confidence threshold
- a timeline view with the ability to edit start and end time
- the ability to edit words
I hope this product is helpful and any feedback (even negative) would bring me joy.
All the best,
Bojan
