I am 100% sure that the current Supreme Court will never let <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.congress.gov&#x2F;bill&#x2F;106th-congress&#x2F;house-bill&#x2F;3244&#x2F;text" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.congress.gov&#x2F;bill&#x2F;106th-congress&#x2F;house-bill&#x2F;3244...</a> (which prohibits involuntary servitude since the year 2000) come in the way of prison slavery.<p>Moreover, the Civil War looks to have been for nothing, as there always was the exemption to lock up any number of people and enslave them, without restriction. A trial-by-jury wouldn&#x27;t help in this regard if the law itself is unreasonable.<p>I argue that the existence of prison slavery also contributes to the suppression of developing AI and robotics technology to do the same work.
