Interesting, even if I think there's still some data missing to draw personal conclusions.<p>Vulkan is hard, everybody knows that, and I do remember the hype behind it with Doom & Doom: Eternal releases.<p>But I don't think Vulkan is NEEDED all the time. Most of the indie games today can still be running using OpenGL without any doubt. Also, I would be interested to see something like this but for the gaming industry: is Vulkan considered as a production-ready API for Ubisoft / CD Projekt / ... for example, and if not "why?".
