Hi HN
I've generally found that having a long-term seemingly impossible goal helps keep me focused on my short term goals.
I decided on the 1111 challenge for myself. A 1,000 LB Club Submission, 100km Run, 10 hours, and 1 wildcard.
I am easily 2+, realistically 4-5 years of relatively serious training (for other events like an ironman I'm doing next year) from being able to complete this. I would love to see others complete it first, and learn from their experiences and training. I built the website to offer vanity in exchange for mentorship.
If you're interested in trying, reach out!
Why?
"Because it's there." - George Mallory
On Inclusivity:
This challenge is not meant to be completable by everyone. It is what I consider to be my limit as a large (6'0 210 lb) male. However, I recognize biological differences that may preclude women who undergo a similar intensity of training. And I've gotten lots of feedback that that is bullshit. If you're interested in a modified version, also reach out. I can do some statistical analysis to figure out a fair powerlifting element - if there is interest.
