Users Report ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini Down

Are these outages because each service is simply a facade to chatGPT? Or is it cascading failures due to chatGPT outage and other systems unable to handle the spikes in usage? Or government mandated lockdown?

I noticed this too. One reason not to get too reliant on LLMs not run locally is that they may disappear at any time.
