New WebKit technologies coming to Safari 18

May be change the link to [1] News from WWDC24: WebKit in Safari 18 beta, which is what this tweet points to.<p>Safari &#x2F; Webkit has been making a lot of progress to support more HTML &#x2F; CSS features and bug fix in the past 4 years that I think and hope Safari 18 will be good enough for most developers. There are APIs that Apple will probably never support and others that Apple will take their time to support. Hopefully if anyone still has annoyances with bugs and features they could be very specific about it. I know people working on Webkit reads HN from time to time.<p>An Important change. Safari 18 no longer support Monterey. i.e MacBook Air before 2018 is no longer able to update. Not sure if there is anyway to get around this limitation. I need to investigate further because I haven&#x27;t seen what feels like strong movement or progress, but Apple does have some WebXR talks at WWDC, to try to bolster their Vision Pro. This would be a cool place to see Apple push bounds &amp; advance things, in a meaningful way, IMHO.
