Bipping? Really? It's car burglary. What do lawyers call it when they charge the crime?
https://www.ktvu.com/news/florida-family-plans-pull-son-from-oakland-college-after-car-break-in

"Bipping is the slang term for a specific type of car break-in in San Francisco that shatters vehicle windows with very little noise."
It's specific to this area and crime.
Also, lawyers don't charge crimes, police do. [edit: fine, prosecutors do the actual charging, but the police arrest on suspicion of a named crime]

"Bipping is the slang term for a specific type of car break-in in San Francisco that shatters vehicle windows with very little noise. Bipping originated as thieves broke off the porcelain pieces of sparkplugs to throw them against the vehicle’s window."
The news reach out even here to the EU that it is a growing problem in the US with lightning fast car break ins.
