A while back I had some spare time and wanted to try out nextjs and postgREST (https://postgrest.org/en/v12/). The results is the www.foodbatch.com website.
Now I don't know what to do with it.. I do use it myself, but I could have multiple subscriptions for the cost of hosting it..
Anyhow, it has left me with some questions. Since typical recipe sites are optimized for SEO, and this site is the anti-thesis of that. How do you actually attract traffic? Besides swallowing your pride and posting on HN.
Also, is there a place for sites like this in our time or should we just give it up to the LLM overlords?
Any feedback appreciated.
