I thought this was the right call. It reminded me a lot about the arbitration requirement that a lot of employers and companies force people into.
The SEC can bring an accusation against someone, no question, but then to require them to go through the internal administrative process without judicial recourse, just seemed wrong. It's unfair. In the same way that would be unfair to say that you can't sue your employer, you have to go through arbitration.
Both forced arbitration and federal in-house courts have the same goal: to stack the deck against the person at question.

This is a serious question, I'm not trying to score partisan points, but given what we know about gifts given to Justice Thomas, why should I believe this is an unbiased interpretation of the law and constitution?
Note that the SCOTUS ethics rules are loose enough that maybe all other justices are also accepting the same kinds of gifts Thomas has.
I, for one, do not have the access to a Justice's ear that Harlan Crow has.
