Ask HN: How common are job application bots now?

2 点作者 sosodev10 个月前
I've noticed that LinkedIn often reports 100+ applicants just a couple of hours after a role is posted. Surely that's bot traffic, right? Are companies getting flooded with more applications than ever before?

A recruiter told me that if you click the link to apply to a company website Linkedin considers that an application since they don't have visibility into the application process once you leave the site. There are probably job application botts out there but I'm sure clicks with out completing an application explains some of the application numbers.
