My God.<p>Personally, I think I might call it at this point if it were me. I literally would not let an animal live like this. The only thing that tips me from disgust over to profound sadness in this story is that Jake is making these decisions himself. I would also be lying if I weren't feeling a good bit of morbid curiosity, observing his dying process through his own words.
