This is all very interesting yet unfair to blame managers when everyone involved is a chaotic mess of self priorities. What is important is that we get work done and meet goals, if that happens I'm sure any dynamic would be welcome.<p>The problem with social optimism is it is short lived. Business pays to keep going, and people are fickle and change with their wants.<p>Most need to be managed, simple truth.<p>The rest is very interesting mulch for those interested in cognitive theories. The authors are otherwise quite information dense.<p>The conclusion however is that working dynamics are hard, and only as good as the initiatives of those who participate in them.
