Last year, I bought an annual subscription to Freepik, which was automatically renewed a few days ago. Since I won't be using the service, I contacted Freepik to request a refund.
However, they told me that since I had made downloads in the last few days, they couldn't issue a refund. It doesn't matter if you made one or a hundred downloads, if you made at least one download, they won't refund your money.
I told them I didn't know, that I could delete the files and not use them in any way, but their response was firm—they don't refund the money.
I asked them to refund the money for the annual subscription (since I was prepaying for a service I wouldn’t use) and switch to a monthly subscription, charging me for just the month. They also refused, telling me they don't refund money.
In conclusion, look for an alternative to Freepik or urgently canvcel or switch your subscription to monthly; otherwise, you won't be able to cancel it or request a refund.
By the way, does anyone know to which organization I can escalate this complaint? Freepik is a Spanish company, but my business is not part of the EU.
